as an atheist i don't believe in any gods or deities, but when i think of the uncontrollable elements that control my life i realize that the closest thing to a god in my life is time. I don't worship it in the traditional sense, but all my actions and the things i spend my day on all revolve around what time it is. I constantly look at my watch and wont do certain things however important if it doesn't fit my schedule. hell if Scientology can be accepted as a "respectable religion" then maybe the first church of time can become one of the most respectable religions in history. I mean even the most stone faced businessmen will kneel before the only intangible thing in their lives that can ruin or make their lives. Maybe this church wouldn't be a tangible building just to cut down on the "time spent worshiping" maybe it would be a passed out pocket watch thats easy to open and quick to close whenever the bearer gets antsy. that can verify the person isn't controlled by some gray man in flowing robes but instead a face that forever watches them silently but loudly making the persons decisions their own yet dictated on its face.
